Adobe Illustrator is a very popular vector graphics program for graphic artists working in screen printing. In this tutorial, courtesy of Adobe, you will learn the basics of the program from Terry White, Adobe Illustrator product expert.
Adobe Illustrator, the most popular software for creating vector art has an excellent feature to turn raster bitmaps into vector art. Live Trace is an easy and flexible feature to convert bitmaps to vectors. I use Adobe Illustrator to make vector designs for logos, screen printing jobs, advertising, etc.
Some designers may know that "Live Trace" is similar to "Corel Trace" in Corel Draw.
This tutorial is quite basic showing how to use the Live Trace feature.
To use Live Trace, you should start with a high resolution image (raster) because it will give you a much better result when you convert it to vector art.
