Here is ASPA news for May 2012.
In April, more career technical high schools signed on to participate in our certification programs. We now have schools in several states using our certification programs for their students. Also in April, ASPA was awarded a long term contract to provide our certification program to inmates at a state correctional facility in the northeast.
Participation in our certification programs for CTE's and correctional institutions are helpful for screen printing and graphic arts students to help gain employment upon graduation. Our certification programs provide a sense of accomplishment and can bolster a student's self esteem to help prepare them for the working world.
ASPA is pleased to report that we experienced a double digit increase in membership for the month of April 2012. We now have members in over 30 countries and 40 US states!
We also want to mention that by the end of April 2012, we have had over 5500 individuals take our Certified Screen Printer and Certified Graphic Artist exams! ASPA certification provides recognition to screen printers and graphic artists demonstrating their knowledge of the screen printing craft and sets a competency standard for those engaged in or planning to work in the field of screen printing.
